Thank you CAC students for painting SPARE's dog runs

We would like to thank Cairo American college students for fundraising for SPARE and painting two of our dog runs that were deteriorating terribly . We are very grateful for their generous help and for giving the dog runs a clean new look. We are so proud of you for putting the effort and for contributing to your community. : Boarding @ SPARE changes lives

Boarding at SPARE doesn't mean simple boarding. It means dedication and effort in providing excellent care, as well as, one on one interactions with each and every animal. Socialization is of utmost importance, either with puppies and other dogs and humans. It is important especially that beloved pets miss their homes and caregivers so much. And all proceeds from our Boarding fees go directly to the shelter expenses as well as fund our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) campaigns, Medical help towards the animals of the local community and Awareness campaigns. A SPARE collaborated efforts success Story

Bigums was rescued off a street in Maadi with his Moma and brother byAya Abdel Salam and other animal lovers and taken to a supposed "shelter" to be safe. Sadly that shelter lacked Empathy, care and sense regarding their animals and Bigums and his family where evacuated to SPARE by Aya and Sophie Rindlisbacher... Immediately on their arrival it was discovered both Bigums and his brother had the onset of the fatal parvo virus and an aggressive and emergency round the clock treatment course started. Angham aka Bella. Bella is 7 years old. She came to SPARE on 11/10/09 as a pregnant dog. She was rescued by a kind lady that witnessed Bella about to be drowned by wicked children. Two days later Bella gave birth. ( Read more... )

SPARE's before and After - Isadoro

Isadoro, a beautiful Peachy persian mix Male was rescued by an animal lover from almost certain death from a horrible pet store in Cairo. When he arrived at SPARE he was was suffering from mange, parasites, sores and wounds all over his body and dehydration. Needless to say, after months of intensive TLC, Isadoro has healed completely and is a gentle and loving soul. To top off his happy ending, Isadoro has found a home in Holland and will be traveling in the near future! ( Read more... )

SPARE available adoption; Ainu - A rescued "Mi-Ke" Balady

Ainu, a beautiful tiny runt balady puppy that was dumped on a cold night at the corner of a busy street by a cruel man on a bike. On the street!!! By a food cart, on the junction of Sahara Mosque in Shabramant not far from SPARE. From a bewildered, cold and terrified puppy to a growing handsome, friendly and trusting guy... the rest is history.
