A stray Egyptian dog finds a second chance in life

Little Jason was rescued by Sacha as a young stray puppy from the cruel streets of Egypt were dogs always get shot, poisoned or barbarically abused to death. Jason was taken to SPARE because Sacha had to travel back to Holland, but Sacha and her mother Joke were committed to give Jason a second chance in life. They took full responsibility of Jason, had him boarded at SPARE and covered all his stay costs and his travelling expenses to Holland...

Another day in the lives of SPARE's resident dogs

Another day in the lives of SPARE's resident dogs... All looking for homes. All beautiful, healthy, Vaccinated, spayed/neutered and totally socialized dogs. A shelter is NEVER a home, but a temporary stopping point. Sadly for so many of these dogs 'temporary' has turned to years... give them the homes they deserve. Adopt don't shop. Spay n Neuter.

No-kill Animal advocates encourage attacks on Egyptian children

SPARE has been recently attacked by the so called "No kill" animal advocates who prefer animals to be shot, poisoned and barbarically killed by the Egyptian authorities and the majority of the Egyptian public. They prefer seeing animals dying in excruciating pain than a painless release from a very cruel world. They prefer children to be violently attacked and killed by aggressive roaming dogs in the streets than removing the dogs and humanely putting them down if no home is found.

This is what happens in Beloved Egypt EVery single day! Thousands of dogs ALL OVER EGYPT are butchered for this same reason every month; TOO NOISY... TOO DIRTY... SICK... AGGRESSIVE... and the excuses are endless... THINK before you SHOP then DUMP... SPAY and NEUTER... Stray Dogs live on trash because they HAVE TO but that does not make THEM TRASH. Did you know? 16,000 dogs enter shelters EVERY DAY but only half find homes (U.S figures).

Respect and veneration for animals
Respect and veneration for animals was fundamental in all ancient Egyptian traditions. Animals were given important status throughout the ancient Egyptians’ life and afterlife. Therefore, any appearance of the animal in their lives is in itself of religious importance, and often the worship of the animals was very direct, to the point where pets were found mummified and buried with their owners. The first protest ever for the pigs of Egypt
The first protest ever for the pigs of Egypt . During the era of Mubarak 2009. SPARE has stood up to the Massacre of Pig culling and how the Egyptian authority were burying pigs alive and barbarically killing them during the swine flue out break. We were attacked by pass byers calling us jews and infidels for being the voice of the pigs. Support SPARE in its campaigns and advocacy to raise Egyptian awareness towards animal sentience, welfare and the right to be respected and valued.
