TNR is the most humane way of dealing with stray animal numbers. SPARE is proud and honoured to be partaking in such activities that save millions of lives in the long run. Thankfully so many people in Cairo are beginning to see the benefits and humanity behind TNR rather than other 'monstrous' solutions of the past and that are sadly still used. Communities need to come together and agree on TNR.

On the 10th of October, Amina Tharwat Abaza the founder and chairman of S.P.A.R.E. was invited to partake in the discussions regarding the creation of the new Egyptian constitution in the Egyptian Parliament, in the part that deals with abuse and violence towards Women and children in Egypt.
Amina then gave a speech that highlighted the situation of animals in Egypt and how paramount it is to acknowledge and include animals as also being victims of abuse and violence.
