Our community service efforts are directed at all areas of animal welfare.
We offer free medical care and advice to the community. It is of the utmost importance for us to work closely with poor farmers on a one-to-one basis and offer them opportunities to treat their animals, ask us questions, and to teach them how to look after these animals which are very often their only source of income.
We speak to animal owners and teach them how to deal with their animals. They stress that they will treat animals for free only if they are ill, and they do not at all condone treatment of animals who were abused by their owners. The community in and around Sakkara respond well to these teachings.
This is done through classes that are open to all areas of the Egyptian community. We approach schools to lecture on animal welfare and compassion.
We also carry out our TNR program anywhere that is needed in Egypt, whether we are approached by people to carry it out or not.
