Animals are put to use in every possible sector in the Egyptian economy: tourism, entertainment, agricultural. From domesticated animals to equines to livestock, animals in Egypt work under harsh and cruel conditions, and often than not suffer wounds and illnesses that are left untreated.
With a large portion of Egypt’s economy depending on agriculture, and with the insurgence of farmers from several governorates in Egypt to Cairo in search of better opportunity, cattle and equine have become quite a regular sight in Cairene traffic lights and streets.
